Anyone with a carpet needs a vacuum to help keep it clean. There are many different types of vacuums on the market, and choosing the right style is easy with a little bit of information. Here are some types of vacuums and their benefits.
Upright Vacuums
These vacuums are used more for carpet than for bare floors. They are easy to store and to move around the house.
HEPA Vacuums
Best for those with allergies or asthma, these vacuums contain filters to clean the air. They are good options for home or office use.
Canister Vacuums
These vacuums are useful for stairs and bare floors, as they are very portable.
Stick Vacuums
Perhaps the most convenient vacuums to store, these are good for bare floors or area rugs.
Backpack Vacuums
These are very quiet to use.
They are also very portable and help you clean difficult-to-reach areas.
Hand-held Vacuums
Perhaps the most portable, these vacuums can be used to spot clean areas of the home but are also very useful to clean out vehicles. They require very little storage space.
Steam Vacuums/Carpet Cleaners
For deep-cleaning carpets and upholstery, these vacuums are your best bet.
Commercial Vacuums
These hardy vacuums are good for frequent usage, particularly in office buildings. They usually have a longer power cord, allowing you to reach faraway areas.
Vacuums come in a number of different brands. Prices vary depending on quality, durability, and type. When selecting among vacuums, consider how often you will need to use your machine (Will you use it daily?); where you will use it most frequently (Do you have a lot of hard-to-reach areas?); and how much space you have to store it.
Some homes or offices require more than one type of vacuum, to serve different purposes.
For example, if you have a combination of carpet and hardwood floors, you may want to have a stick vacuum as well as an upright or canister vacuum, as these serve different needs. Wet vacuums are also useful if you need to clean damp areas. A salesperson can help you determine which specific brand or model will help you best serve your needs.

Aligning Teams with Organizational Goals
Teams don't have to be aligned with the goals of the organization. Teams can work on what they believe to be the right things. They can work diligently on creating the results they think matter. They can be completely committed to success from their perspective.A non-aligned team could enjoy each other and their work. They could accomplish much, and all of that could be completely counter to what the organization needs.
Can you see this happening? It isn't just a fantasy, I've seen it, and I'll bet you have too. Maybe you've even experienced it.Teams can't succeed in a vacuum, but far too often that is what organizations expect them to do, and it can lead to the scenarios I've just described.Sometimes this vacuum is created by omission ? leaders just aren't thinking about it or are "too busy" to set context for team success. Other times the reason is optimism ? leaders believe in their team members and their skills. After all they hired bright people ? and bright people will figure...

Proper Vacuuming Helps Prevent Further Risks for Children with Lead Poisoning
Boise, Idaho (ContentDesk) March 21, 2006 -- Children face many health challenges and risks. In Erie County, PA, this includes lead poisoning - a risk faced by numerous children in the community. The county, which has a population of 280,000, has many homes built before 1970 that were painted using lead-based products. The Erie County Department of Health (ECDH) provides a program to assist families with children six years of age or younger who have lead poisoning or who have been identified as at risk.
The Department recently received an added benefit to help low-income families in the countys childhood lead poisoning prevention program. On one of my home visits I saw a mother trying to clean her carpet using a broom, says Laurie Preston, community health specialist with the ECDH.
This obviously wasnt an appropriate solution but it was what she had available. We had to find a better way to help this family and others to address the need for providing a clean environment...

Industrial Vacuums
Industries are difficult places to maintain cleanliness and therefore require specialized cleaning solutions. Thanks to the advancement in technology, today's industrial vacuums silently go about their work, making them almost an indispensable part of any industry. Space, aviation, engineering, medical, entertainments, telecommunications, even military, you name it and there is no industry, which does not depend upon industrial vacuums.
The use of corrosive chemicals and other metals in manufacturing processes results in the deposition of dirt or dust on to metallic as well as non-metallic substances. This generally results in a thin film deposition.
Such deposits are difficult to remove and require a specialized vacuum process. The process most widely used in industries is known as physical vapor deposition, which is a combination of two processes again, namely, sputtering and evaporation. Similarly to this are other vacuum processes implemented in industries....
